Formica Pampas is een slaapkamer-project waarbij nummers ontstaan zonder vooraf iets bedacht te hebben. Het live opvoeren van eerder gemaakte nummers is niet echt mogelijk omdat we simpelweg niet meer weten hoe we de nummers gemaakt hebben. Formica Pampas dan toch live? De Pampas gaan de vertrouwde slaapkamersetting in de zaal opbouwen en daar zullen we improviserend met elektronische en acoustische geluidsbronnen nieuwe nummers maken. Speciaal voor de Black Light Minstrel Show met een recordbezetting van 4 man!

A hand picked selection of amazing black light minstrels will perform with the stomping rural electro acoustic looping four piece you know as Waldorf. Traveling Tinus
Just like you, Waldorf can’t get enough of this gifted harmonica player and Waldorf veteran. His lyrical playing and beautiful sound will warm up even the coldest corners of Rotterdam on the 16th. There are even rumours that Tinus might bring a surprise to the show….

Minstrel Mark
A Waldorf regular, Mark’s funky sax play moves from round solos to square hooks that keep you moving. Recently he discovered the the wonderful world of live sound manipulation, which allows him to color the squares and circles any way he likes. Waldorf got a small taste of it during the CHI performance, and we would like a another bite of it please..

Nightingale Neusa
Performing with the beautiful Neusa, a long lasting Waldorf wish has come true. Finally we found a soulfully improvising diva with an amazing voice, who at the same time has a personality to match our own flamboyant front man. We can’t wait to get on stage with her.

Nugget Nelson
This piece of musical gold from the other side of the Sahara comes from a family of multi instrumental wizards. Performing for the first time with Waldorf, he will at least bring his guitar, but with a stage full of instruments and mics, who knows what will happen….

Waldorf
As hosts of the evening, Waldorf is the solid foundation the Black Light Minstrel Show is build on. From master of ceremony to backing band and from dj to main act, this four piece will take you on a trip to Waldorfia. In Waldorfia drums from Africa merge with gabber lyrics, jazz chords and live loops. Some music journalists have dubbed it ‘maximalistic electro-acoustic rural loopcore improv’. All we know is, it will make you dance your warm woolly winter socks off!
